Fellow traders, I don't know for certain but I believe it costs a lot more money, say $100k annually, to have a license to distribute data from the CME. Rithmic, CQG, IQFeed likely pay for such licenses because distributing data is their primary business model. IB pays for it because they want their brokerage customers to be able to use 3rd-party software. SC already allows customers to download the data. So the only reason they would pay for a distribution license would be to enable their customers to send data to other platforms which sort of goes against their primary business model. You can see a list of some/all of the license CME distributors here. CQG and IQFeed under DTN, LLC are on it.
