Regarding the tick size, this probably is because the symbols were translated to the new Rithmic format and the tick size was reset to default. One way to avoid this issue is to enable this option: Chart Settings: Do Not Change Symbol Settings for Chart on Symbol Change (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu) and 1 sec time frame That does not make sense to happen an update.
