Since the decompression occurs only when loading a chart, you shouldn't see any difference during regular use of Sierra Chart. Hard to say if the background compression will have an ongoing perceived impact, since it may be on a different thread. If you delete all SCID files and a bunch of new ones are downloaded, I have seen times when the OS decides to start compressing many large files at once, and that can impact overall performance temporarily. Since SSDs are fast, but not cheap, the benefit in disk space savings seems worth it.
