When you switched the services and you selected OK to get off the Data/Trade Service Settings window, you should have been presented with an option to update the symbols. Did you say Yes on that window and still the VIX symbol did not change?

Also, you can select the option Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service to update the symbols to the current service selection if the above did not work for you. Let us know if you have any issue with this option. Refer to the documentation for this here:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

None of the above has anything to do with whether you are getting the CFE data from us or from another source.

Are you getting the data for CFE from CQG when you are connected to CQG? If not, then you would need to either get it from them or from us. To add the CFE data from us, refer to the instructions here:
