OK - Thanks. Would you please help out on this - portion of Preserving the Foreground color? I don't see this being part of - GetStockObject function. If this text issue is solved - would continue to use GDI functions until I find an alternate work around. Even if you can update the example to draw some text(preferably with a different color) and preserve it when cross hair is selected - can take it from there.
