My Nvidias have been free of flickering too. But I found back when this was first possible that the odd drawing of diagonal trend lines put me off. I also didn't see much reduction in CPU load. So I dropped opengl. But I thought I'd try again with my current desktop (dwm on top of a mate / debian stack) and 1) the distortion of the trendlines is lower (acceptable) and I get a substantial reduction in CPU load whether running changes with 2.5 second refresh or 200ms refresh. So I'll stick with it for while. |
