The Trade Service Log opening when there is an asterisk at the end is occurring because the asterisk denotes that there is an important message which is typically a problem with whatever you are trying to do with the trade. The only way to get the window to not show when there is the asterisk is the following setting: General Settings Window: Never Automatically Open Message Log or Trade Service Log (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Log >> Log) If the only reason the logs are opening is because there is an asterisk, then the above will stop that. But you need to look at why you are getting whatever the messages are. Again, the asterisk indicates there is an issue of some kind.
