Some studies do not go back and update previous bars as long as there is no reason for the study to be completely recalculated. This saves a lot on resources. You can do what you did, which is to open the study and select OK, which forces a full recalculation, or you can select the "Insert" key, which does a Reload and Recalculate for the entire chart (depending on how many days you have loaded and Market Depth, this could take a few seconds or a few minutes).

But, you should not be seeing the old bars into where a new calculation should be occurring (i.e. a new day). So although it may be odd to see the old lines still on the screen, each bar should reflect the correct calculations for the OHLC.

A couple of other options including changing the code to recalculate when you want it to occur. Or there is a study called "Chart Recalculation - Periodic", that will force a full recalculation of the chart at the set interval (same as selecting the Insert button). You could set the recalculation period very high, since you just need it at the start of each day. Refer to the following:
