We are not able to reproduce this. When we tried it just now, when the drawings are hidden, they are not selectable. Can you give us more specific information, particularly what Drawings are you able to select and what tool are you using when you do select it? Also, if you can take a screen image of your Tool Settings, it would be helpful.
