This is not technically possible at least in regards to not getting the messages: Once finished, I unchecked mute all alert sounds in global settings
Now Alert Manager now does not show any trading/order events nor I get the alerts or emails. I have found that exiting SC and then launching the application again restores the alerts; pretty un-elegant, though...
There is no functionality to prevent alert messages from being added to the Alerts Log. There must be some other explanation for the issue in your case.
