To be fair, I was confused (original poster) about the Sierra Chart feature. I thought in order to see Denali data and trade, I had to send an application to my FCM or switch my amp account to Denali+TT (I did both and eventually got it working) but the article implies all I needed to do was pay for Denali data, check a box in the data settings, load my EXISTING broker feed, and type in a Denali symbol on my chart this whole time. Actually after reading a prior response it does seem like that’s the case. If it is then I would point to bookmap’s implementation as the suggestion because there is a lot less setup.

Features bookmap has that would be nice is the ability to connect to more than one datafeed at a time. Each workspace (like a chartbook) in bookmap can connect to a different datafeed. This is how I suspect they are accomplishing their cross trade feature. You connect to both datafeeds and choose which one you see and which one your order is sent to. You can connect to as many data feeds as you want in bookmap, which allows for trading as many accounts as you want in one instance of the application. I could see this iterate into a version where placing an order on one chart sends it to multiple different accounts with different brokers. Also the new order management really is clever. You can drag a stop over another stop and after a second they form a combined stop. You can expand a combined stop and break off any or all of the original stop orders. There’s almost something like that in SC with scale-in / scale-out mode? I’ll add that it would be nice to convert an existing stop into a trailing stop or other type of stop.

On the communication front, SC seems to be heavy on the engineering and lite on the sales and marketing. As a user I appreciate that and believe it’s the best software of its kind around. From a business perspective though, some digital marketing and brand messaging would go a long way to moving SC to the top software spot it deserves. I continue to recommend it to my FB Futures group of 3,000+ members.
