Regarding the video in post #63, what is the purpose of the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable 2010 package? It is not used by Sierra Chart. These packages have not been used by Sierra Chart for many years now.
good to know! This was set as I requirement on their end, so its auto installed. And also the installation notes we see on the bottom of the Crossover Software Installer, is like from 5+ years ago. This crossover installation is so very out of date.
True, this is why I created this video as there are few specifics that will not work out of the box unless you select them with their software. The most important is the need for a 64bit WINE bottle. To make things fair, CrossOver is the only third-party software using WINE that has patched the bug so SC can work on MacOS with latest versions. I will try to see if I can update the page they have with instructions etc. Make note though that I have no affiliation with codeweavers, I just use them to get the job done. |
