No this is definitively untrue:
It looks like I still have to pay the $11 exchange fee regardless.

Tell your broker to cancel the exchange fees that you pay through them. You definitely do not have to pay them if you pay them with our own data feed.

With all the inflation and taxes and indirect taxes caused by the inflation we have in this world now and getting worse, this is very insignificant by comparison:
I had no problems with the data before but now I need to pay $15 more for the same data?

And yes, if you want more historical data you do need to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed:
