I can recall having the same problem with recentering after price has deviated so many ticks from the center, but it was some time ago and as far as I can determine now, it is working ok since I have tried it out recently. I use version 2196. I just discovered the setting "constant range scale recenter on interactive scaling change" in the scaling settings to automatically recenter after any changes to the chart. After removing the tick, there is no recentering after making any changes to any chart. Regarding the recentering of price during the opening of the chartbook: my focus is to open up 15 chartbooks with 16 charts without having to adjust anything to see the entire scope of price action as it was when I closed the chartbooks. The position of price on the charts when I closed should be the same as when I open them again. What happens though when opening, the charts are automatically recentered.
