Could you please explain why is this a user responsibility to troubleshoot a problem caused by a version upgrade rolled out by a vendor?

You can go back to a previous version with Help >> Install Previous Version until such time that you can spend the time to work through this.

If you simply run Sierra Chart and you do not open any Chartbooks and you open a new Intraday chart and it takes a long time to load as compared to before, we definitely strongly suspect it is the OS performing file compression of the intraday data files in the background. Just give the OS time for that to complete.
