Right now the only method to do what you want is documented here: Data and Trading Communications (DTC) Protocol Test Client: Populating Symbol List in Sierra Chart Later on, but we do not know when, the Find Symbol window will support making requests to the connected DTC server for symbols. You must be doing something wrong in regards to this: When I simply send over EXCHANGE_LIST_RESPONSE and/or SECURITY_DEFINITION_RESPONSE just after the login, Sierra closes connection immediately as wrong protocol version is used. Check the Message Log for why the connection is closing.
