The versions described in the above subject line, are affected by a stability issue related to file compression. They enable file compression on intraday data and market depth data files and have the operating system perform that as a background overlapped operation. The issue relates to the overlapped data structure not being maintained during the operation which will lead to a stack corruption when the operating system writes to it. We think this is the reason why some users have experienced issues with not all of the charts opening in a Chartbook when otherwise there should not be a problem related to Chartbooks, in these versions. The only known issue of this problem, would relate to the loading of Intraday chart data, loading of market depth data in the chart, incomplete opening of a Chartbook. If you did not experience these issues, and had some other problem, it is unlikely to have been caused by this. Also a simple restart of Sierra Chart, and reopening the Chartbook without having previously saved it, would have been a resolution to the problem. We are resolving the issue in 2191 coming out in about an hour. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
