That is the correct way to do it, and there is nothing special you need to set in order to do it. One thing that we see that is not in the documentation is that if the sheets you are referencing have spaces, then you need to put the sheet name between single quotes. For example, if you want to reference cell A1 in a sheet named "First Sheet", then you would need to enter this as 'First Sheet'!A1.
