a number of setups has been tested and it is clear now it is really worth to prefer amd gpu hw to nvidia hw in order to get well 2D performance on Linux and no need to be on the cutting edge here to be OK https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RadeonDriver https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AMDGPU-Driver |
