You need to be connected to your broker in order to qualify for the lower-priced CME Non-Professional rates. The CME Group has a rule that you have to have a funded account in order to qualify. Therefore, we check that connection from your software and update the information with the exchange so you do not have to pay the higher priced fees. If you are not trading, then you can get away with connecting to your broker only once a month. Refer to the information here: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees But we really do recommend that you just stay connected so you do not have to think about this at the beginning of each month. Additionally, you can verify that you are receiving the data from Sierra Chart by looking at the Symbol displayed in the Chart Header (if you have it enabled to display). You will see the designation "[M]" (no quotes) after the symbol denoting that it is Sierra Chart Data. Refer to the information around the 2nd image in this section: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Integration with Trading Services For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
