I think the issue was I had intraday storage time unit set to 1 tick and max historical days to download set to 10 for non tick data and 2 for 1 tick data, so when I requested 5 second data I was thinking it was going to use the max of 10 days because I was downloading 5 second data, but it used the max of 2 days because intraday data storage time unit was 1 tick.
