But we will be working on sub instances to be able to access market data direct from our servers for our own market data services, this would not include CQG, and not have to take it from the main instance. This will effectively accomplish what you want because as long as you are not looking at the symbol in the main instance, there will not be another copy of it. So you just need to make sure to look at Intraday charts for a particular symbol in only one instance.

Storage is cheap these days. If that is not an option you should look into a filesystem that supports de-duplication. On Windows, this is currently available:
