I understand - but still remains the question of why my average increased after selling 1 contract, and still holding 1.

Just now, I had 1 contracts with an average price of 3358, bought another at 3361.50, and sold 1 at 3361.50. This resulted in an average price of 3359.75. My average price was shown in the order window as 3361.50 after the sell. The value increased after I sold. I was expecting it to at least stay the same. I ended up stopping out, however it was difficult to tell in real time if I stopped break even, or took a loss.

According to the trade activity log, I stopped at 3358.50.

Perhaps I should use "Use Theoretical Position Average Price" as I seem to remember you telling me on another thread that SC Order Routing does not provide an average position price in the web based version. Use External Service Open Position Average Price would not report my average position price in Sierra Chart, correct?
