The ".backup" files in the Data folder were created when you upgraded to a more recent version. These were automatically created when saving a Chartbook file in case you needed to go back to an older version. You will find the information on this in the 2nd entry here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Whats_New.php#SCVer2111 If you are stating that you are missing data due to the new file size, then this is not the case. We have implemented a new chartbook compression, so it is normal for their to be a difference in filesize. You can also delete the backups just simply by selecting the file name in the Open Chartbook window and pressing the Delete button.
