Dear Support Today I experienced freezing/unresponsive issues using the new compact chartbook. Following loading a chartbook using the new compression all seemed fine until I changed symbols using the quote board at which time I experience high CPU usage, Sierra Chart stops responding, becomes unstable and displays the circular working cursor with the only action available being to force its closure. It does not recover without closure. On loading the uncompressed chartbook saved as *backup2092.cht everything works fine without issue as do other chartbooks. I have run all system and mem checks and everything is fine (i7 9700). I've read though threads and considered a data issue but the old chartbook and other compressed chartbooks update and work fine. I have also re-saved the open chartbook which is experiencing issues before I make any changes - but the new chartbook also exhibits the same issue. Is it possible corruption is occurring during compression? I await your comments. A further question is whether compression is a necessity in all cases? Many thanks |
