Thanks for clearing up the question on reversing data. Regarding your question, yes. The number of filled in rows in column N (see attached image) changes based on the value in column M. This allows me to cut/paste values in columns M - N into Excel where I can calculate the value area for ZigZag line length using the same approach Sierra uses to calculate TPO value area. That allows me to fill in the 2 blank statistics in column J. I'd like to do all the work in Sierra, but the lack of a COUNTIF function means that isn't currently an option. I use this on a lot of different subraphs aside fomr zigzag data because viewing those highlih=ghted statistics helps me get a better sense of overall probabilities and "normal" ranges of values for that particular subgraph. I also examine this visually as a histogram in excel. It would be AWESOME if someday Sierra built a study that could generate a histogram and statistical summary based on a user-selected study and subgraph. This would be a huge timesaver for anyone building automated trading systems which are based on statistical probabilities. |
