When I open a symbol in Sierrechart from Nasdaq Omx Nordic (via paid data feed from Teletrader), some stocks are not real-time data, but only show historical data through yesterday, and strangely show the last tick at 22:00, when the Stockholm Stock Exchange really closes at 17:30. For example, I test the Bill share on Nasdaq Omx Nordic, it is a Swedish company, the code is BILL.STK.OMXEquities in SierraChart. I open it, and so I get no real-time data but only yesterday's data until 22:00. In addition, the price in the right column does not match. The strange thing is that everything indicates that it is the BILL share on Nyse I get, even though it is a completely different company, and they have nothing to do with each other, and it still says BILL.STK.OMXEquities in the chart! I therefore opened BILL on Nyse in SierraChart, and see that this is exactly what I see when I open BILL on OMXEquities. Then I understand why the last tick is 22:00, since NYSE in the USA closes at 22:00 (local time here where I live in Europe). How is this even possible? See attached log and screen dumps. I have contacted Teletrader, and they have checked logs (for my requests for symbols etc) and they examined their data feed, and it is error free. See email from Teletrader support: "We found at that you were looking at the BIll symbol on NYSE, therefore you got the late ticks at around 10 o'clock European time. In the chart, probably, the OMX symbol was still cached, but according to our logs, you never really requested it successfully. " My guess is that this is a bug in SierraChart, that the program cannot determine the difference between BILL on Nyse and BILL on Nasdaq OMX Nordic. |
