We are not sure how you are trying to listen to the sounds. They are just .wav files, so opening the sound file in the operating system file manager should open the application you have associated with .wav files and play the sound. If you do not have an application associated, it should ask you what you want to use to open the file. But, another option is to go to Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts and on that window you can use the button for Select Sound File and the button for Test Sounds to hear the sound.
