The only thing we can think that is happening is that you have the Chart Values Window displayed rather than the Tool Values Window. You can access both of these through the Window menu. If you are still having problems then also display the Compact Tool Values Window and let us know if that is updating properly. Then take a screenshot including those windows and attach it to this thread.
