It depends how many symbols you would be tracking. How many symbols? And what particular symbol. There is no way to control the amount of data transmitted by the server. It will transmit all the market data for the symbol. We do use an efficient protocol, DTC. So far, we have not heard about any problems with this. We could implement some kind of throttling algorithm that can optionally be used if we hear about a problem. We just have not seen a need for it so far. Although, if you do not use any market depth features for a particular symbol in Sierra Chart, there is no market depth data transmitted.
