The reason is because at the time of integration, and this may still be true now, Gain Capital did not provide an interface which was/is compatible with Sierra Chart other than the FIX data feeds. We are not going to undertake any further development with Gain Capital assuming they have a compatible interface. They should use the DTC protocol: https:/www.dtcprotocol.org You really do not understand the massive amount of work that is involved to integrate to a service and debug it and perfect it and support it. We are just not doing anything further with them or anyone else. We are just want to focus on the best order routing gateways including direct exchange connectivity, and be a full provider of market data feeds at an economical cost. We have to act in the interest, of sanity, and the larger user base. When the former owner of OEC told us to integrate to the proprietary Tradeovate interface, we flatly said no. No chance in hell. That was a purely insane request. And we were very blunt and clear with them. If we lose business over our new direction, so be it. We have to do what is right and sane. But the simple fact is, we will not. A few users may leave, but overall we will do much better. And everyone will be happier.
