I just had another small account liquidated while figuring out the nuances of the bitmex/sierra relationship. I always place bracket orders (server side) so there technically should never be a reason for an account liquidation. After speaking with Bitmex support I was told that I did not have sufficient funds to execute the order. I argued that how could I not have the funds to close the trade I am currently in??? Support explained to me that it's server do not know if it is a "stop loss" and treats my stop as a new order. Since I am in a leveraged trade and trying to initiate a new trade, my stop is rejected and I am essentially trading naked from that point on. Bitmex support suggested ticking the "close on trigger" option when setting close stop orders as this negates any margin requirement. I do not see where I can do this from within the Sierra Chart app. Can this be done with Sierra? Thanks in advance. |
