We are doing what is absolutely right and we made the right decision and there is a proper alternative. There is an alternative which accomplishes the same thing and it is documented here: Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Using Sierra Chart Historical and Real-time Forex Data and Trade through Interactive Brokers Account You still have the ability to access the Sierra Chart Forex data which comes from FXCM while using Interactive Brokers. You can chart this data for both Historical and Intraday charts by simply opening those symbols through File >> Find Symbol >> Forex. And you can also trade from those charts using Interactive Brokers Forex symbols. Let us know if the above link instructions are not clear. Just because one user has an issue which requires a lot of changes as a result of this change does not mean we made a wrong decision. What we have removed is old and outdated and there simply is not a need for it anymore. And it was sloppy because it creates an inconsistency where the data in an intraday chart data file for these Forex symbols can come from different sources at different points in time. 1. What you can do is just change the symbol of the chart to NZDJPY and set the Trade and Current Quote Symbol to the Interactive Brokers Forex symbol. And enable this option: Chart Settings: Show Chart Drawings For Different Symbols (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Drawings menu) But this would not work if there are chart drawings for more than one symbol on the chart. We could see about creating the capability to change the symbol of an existing chart drawing. Would that help? 2. This does not make sense to us because you can set the Trade and Current Quote symbol for a particular specific symbol in the Global Symbol Settings. And there is a reason why we made that change. It was because by clearing the Trade and Current Quote symbol it creates an issue when a user is using a symbol like a micro contract and it gets cleared when there is a rollover, this is an issue. We are only doing our best. There are entire threads which discuss this. And also your conclusion about whether we care about users or not, is completely false. We are acting in the interest of users, by improving Sierra Chart and designing things properly and consistently. And sometimes that involves changes. And finally, if you need to look to an alternative for Sierra Chart, that is perfectly fine with us. Here it is we are doing what is right and correct, and we are only getting complaints.
