Hello, the formula that we have in Sierra Chart is the correct one. Here is a quote from Bill Williams' book New Trading Dimensions, page 114. This book is the source material for the ACDC Histogram. The AC Histogram is a 5-bar simple moving average of the difference between the 5/34 momentum histogram and a 5-bar simple moving average of that difference. What he means by the 5/34 momentum is the Awesome Oscillator with SMA's of lengths 5 and 34. This is precisely equivalent to the formula used by Sierra Chart. I am about to edit the documentation for the ACDC Histogram to make the explicit connection between it and the AO. Edit: I see from post #3 that you found the same quote. Good sleuthing!
