In the off chance the dll was zipped, can you open the zip file and see if there is a dll file in it? If so, then extract the dll file to your SierraChart/Data folder. Then to add the study, press F6 and click "Add Custom Study". If you aren't sure, then post the zip file so we can take a look at it.

Also, may not be exactly what you are looking for, but there is a study on BigMikeTrading.com created by Nicolas11 (you can search for the original thread there), that plots news times historically on your chart. Create a convenient folder and put the "EconomicEventsDownloader v5.1.jar" file in the folder, then double click the file and it will create a historical file and a future file. Put the "EconomicEventsDisplay.dll" file in your SierraChart/Data folder, then add the study to your chart, in the study settings change the file location to the correct location of the historical file and change your time settings.

Haven't tried it, but thinking you can probably cut and paste data out of the future file and put in historical file at the beginning of each week if you want future events to show as they occur. They may show too late, however. If they do, then you could load the study twice and adjust the time for one of the instances an hour ahead so you have a warning. I just thought of this idea, so I think I'll try it myself too. :)
