Actually this is one of the reasons why I am doing it. I traded myself on MT4, but moved to sierra like 2 year ago. If you trade forex (an I am mostly) I trade using sierra chart (sim account) but trades are executed on my MT4 broker (small spread, commission, margin requirements). I like to trade sierra, but my broker accounts was with MetaTrader 4 or 5. That is main reason. Secondary, I had some of algo strategies that were working on MT4, and I am copying those trades to different accounts (with different risk settings). Now I can run them even on MT4 and copy on MT5... Side note is, I already got a few people looking for this solution so I start building one with admin tool (for 2y I did have copy software with simple config files but require a lot of technical knowledge). One guy trade using Sierra chart for fund, but same time copy trades on his own MT5 account. He dont need to trade on few platforms at same time - he trade on sierra and trades are copied to all his account with different size / risk. Hope I satisfied your curiosity.
