Since I last posted this, I have bought a new computer and OS. It is now a Dell Precision T3600 running Windows 7 Pro. This problem per post #1 above never went away, but now it is getting progressively worse. Running SC 1048 and sometimes closing chartbooks one at a time, even at intervals of over a minute, can result in this problem of "Sierra Charts has stopped working". I copied over the chartbooks and spreadsheets from the old computer to the new PC, apart from that all copies of SC were clean installs. The problem always arises at the point of the prompt to save the spreadsheet, never when prompted to save the chartbook, so your previous suspicion about a spreadsheet issue is probably correct. Logically, it can't be the computer, OS, or a corrupted .NET because these are all new but the problem persists/worsens. Can you suggest a workaround or anything else I could try, as it is getting really disruptive? BTW the abnormal shutdown issue you mentioned in post 6 was not me. |
