Post From: Lagging charts, request to allow the option to use old timers, or prioritize GUI responsiv

I experienced the chart lag as explained in the thread "Managing Performance with Version 1959". Although I can see now that an interval is performed much more consistently, this has come at a frustratingly high cost of GUI responsiveness. I tried adjusting the Chart Update Interval setting but it still feels jumpy and sluggish, in a way that's almost unusable. For example, prior to 1959 it took under 350ms round trip for my charts. I can see that a round trip may take longer at times when i'm charting (i'm assuming events were being dropped), but that's ok because the charts were very responsive. With the new version I've adjusted the interval up to 2000ms and it still feels more sluggish and jumpy, but also with a too high interval. I spent a lot of time optimizing my studies and the system to get the GUI responsiveness just right (built a separate trade management system where a server processes trade entries/exits, with a client focused on optimizing the charting experience), but I cant think of a way to fix things with this new version. I can see how some people might want to prioritize the events, but the GUI responsiveness now makes the system feel like its constantly stalling. The gui/charting experience is frustrating, where it was quite pleasant before. Please help with some kind of solution.

Off the top of my head i can think of a couple of things:

1. Provide an option where the system will use the old timer/event method.
2. Provide an option where the system will drop events, prioritizing GUI responsiveness

I can keep using an older version of the software for the time being, so i dont need a solution anytime soon, but i know at some point i'll have to up the software. thanks for your consideration.
