I trade the NQ on very short time frames...sometimes 15 second bars/candles. My method requires me to wait until the current bar/candle completes and to manually enter the order exactly when the bar/candle closes. I use the the Trade Window with Attached Orders feature to automatically have my target and stop orders placed when I am filled on my parent order. I also use the Keyboard Shortcuts for order entry (Ctrl+Up Arrow for my long orders,etc.). It is very important that I have my order placed exactly at the closing price of the bar/candle. However, manually entering the order via the Keyboard Shortcuts is not exact enough to catch the exact closing price. Too frequently the order is gets placed a couple ticks away from the closing price due to the awkward manual entry and jumpy market conditions. Is it possible to create a mechanism to have the order automatically placed at the exact closing price. Since my signals are very last second, I usually only have 1 to 5 seconds to prepare for order entry and I use the countdown timer to try and enter the order exactly as the bar/candle closes. Is it possible to create a mechanism whereby I trigger it via a hotkey (or keyboard shortcut) with 1 to 3 seconds of time left on the current bar/candle and the mechanism would (when triggered) wait for the closing price and then place the order at that closing price for me? This would replace my manual Keyboard Shortcut approach. I have read the Auto Trading documentation (and the Trading from Advanced Custom Study), but I am unsure if an auto trading order entry system can be created which will, when I trigger it with 1 to 5 seconds of time left in the current bar/candle, automatically wait until the closing price before the order is placed at that exact closing price? Is there a way I can accomplish this within the current SC version, or is it even possible for me to pay a programmer to create an auto order entry mechanism (activated by a hotkey and linked to the Attached Orders feature-target/stop orders automatically placed once parent order is filled) that will work within SC? |
