CQG is best able to answer this question. We really do not know because any performance implication would be something that is on their side. There is no practical performance difference on the Sierra Chart side. If anything we would tend to think the Web API would be a little faster but that's really hard to say. We have never measured it. But the differences are going to be in the microsecond range.

And although it's called a web API that is only because it uses the websocket protocol. On our side the overhead of that, is very negligible.

And considering the connectivity issues we hear about with CQG FIX among some users, you probably really are better off using the Web API but even the web API has been affected by those. So there effectively may be no difference anyway.

when you say you will discontinue technical support for FIX does that just mean "don't ask questions here because, sorry, but we really can't help" and we can use it but direct questions to our broker,
yes.

And if you are trading the Asian markets we are going to be setting up a Singapore server for this new service:

Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

We expect to have this done in 30 days. But this will only be for order routing and not market data.
