It was my understanding that I could trade S&P cash index $INX as well as the Emini. My primary interest was to be able to use $INX for back testing and be able to sim executable trades to work out my trading methods. $INX apparently is untrade-able. I am not aware of any standardized continuous contract on the Emini that goes back 10-20 years. I pay for the indexes and I believe they are activated as I track it daily. I am with Optimus, CQG and AMP and I have Sierra Data. Is there a way to configure the SIM to use $INX data as a continuous contract Emini so I can back test trading strategies? Could it be as simple as renaming it and rounding the data to the nearest .25? |
