Here is a chart with 2 Bollinger Band studies, one at 2 standard deviations and one at 3. I then added Study Subgraphs Reference, inputting the top band from each Bollinger Band, with the goal of filling in the area between the bands in a different background color. The filled in area resulting from the Study Subgraphs Reference appears to be the right shape and size, and the right time (x axis) but the wrong underlying price (y axis).
