If you haven't already, look in your SierraChart/Backups folder for an older backup of your Chartbook (.Cht file extension). Sort by Date Modified descending to determine the most recent backup that has a reasonable file size other than 1KB. If you find one, copy and rename the file to your SierraChart/Data directory and overwrite the current 1KB Chartbook. File corruption is rare but does happen to all computers eventually, sometimes you may not notice it. If you wish to create your own backups of your Data folder you can use a backup program like GoodSync to create regular backups to an external drive, I'd recommend excluding .scid files from the backup. You can also look into a thread where I theorized about storing Chartbooks in a sync program like Dropbox, though this will not create archived backups because the new file is synced every time it is saved. https://www.goodsync.com/ Copying chart drawings between PC The Sierra Chart development team gets hundreds of requests for new features. I doubt creating a web server for everyone's Chartbooks and config files, dealing with upload/download issues is something that they would implement anytime soon. |
