It's 2018 so 5 years since this thread. I am new to SC and am on the trial version. After days of use and customization, tonight I've just had the very same issue as Ronin explained above. My PC is an atom stable power PC with fail safe raid HDD and there was no any error or crash but when I restarted SC my saved chartbook was gone, it did not open. When I checked it in the folder it was a ~1kb file... originally it was ~118kb, same as it's backups. But the backup is one day old so I lost all my customization and settings. :( As Ronin suggested 5 years ago, proper backup solution shall be applied with versioning and non incremental backups. If corruption is so frequent than I would also suggest automatic online backups on SC server. If it helps I will can send any info or data upon request. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2018-06-02 10:48:38
