Hi Support,

I want to do some analysis offline using Microsoft excel so am trying to extract data from Sierra.

The data I want for my analysis is two fold:

(i) Date/Time, Open, Close, High, Low, Volume, VPOC. I also want to extract the same information for the initial balance period (1st hour). Can I extract this data from specific charts? For instance, I have a candle sticks chart showing for daily periods. If so great as I would also like to analyse the exact same information from my 3 minute chart as well. The only difference being I get a new line / record for every 3 min period rather than day period.

(ii) I want to analyse low and high volume nodes and combine this with the above. Is there anywhere therefore that I can extract volume information by price for a set period? I.e Looking at the bug picture / composite profile, I would simply want volume by price for the past 5 years. When examining the micro composite, for example, the past week I would want volume by price within the past 5 days. All I need for this is price and volume.

Please can you also clarify my understanding of how LVNs (Valleys) and HVNs (Peaks) are calculated in Sierra. Am I correct in thinking that based on the set sensitivity, for this example lets say its set to 10, the software looks for prices that are higher than the 10 above and below for peaks and prices that are lower than the 10 above and below?

I know Sierra offers spreadsheet capability within the software. I'm not sure this will allow me to do the analysis I'm looking to do offline or not though. Ideally I would be able to get the above data within the software then have another offline spreadsheet that reads from these. To help me better understand how this works/what this offers, please can you point me to the most relevant help topic that explains exactly how the spreadsheet function in Sierra works?

Thanks in advance for your help!
