We have determined that the setting Tools >> Tool Settings >> Require Drag to Start Drawing Modification is incorrectly causing the wrong anchor to be selected when clicking on the extended portion of the ray and selecting Adjust Drawing. One short-term fix is to simply uncheck this option. Or, ensure that you are selecting the portion of the ray that is between the two anchor points, and not on the extended portion beyond the second anchor point.
