It helps to follow the 'smart money' or the big lot players, or hedge funds. It paints the bars based on the size of the trade. So probably would only work for futures? From emini-watch.com: "The second part of the puzzle is knowing what the Professionals and Amateurs are doing. You want to follow the Professionals and "fade" (do the opposite) the Amateurs.
