Had SC for years and never a problem...until now. I have SC (version 1641) on a laptop and a desktop computer....running Windows 10 with all current updates installed on both computers. About a weeka go the SC shortcut disappeared from my laptop and I could not find the execute file within the SC folder to make another shortcut....the execute file was missing. I simply went to open SC via the shortcut and it was gone. I decided to uninstall what remained of the SC program (simply deleted the folder) and then I copied the desktop SC folder onto the laptop. Problem solved...I thought. A few days later the exact same thing happened again...but, this time it was on the desktop computer. So I copied the SC folder from the laptop back onto the desktop computer and the problem was solved for a couple days. Today, I had SC open and running/minimized on my desktop and this time it was connected to a broker service. Right before my eyes the desktop SC shortcut disappeared and the SC program just closed. I looked for the execute file within the SC folder to start SC again, and the file was gone. I thought this might be an antivirus issue....but I can find nothing in my antivirus program that would suggest the SC files were being targeted (I am running Bitdefender). I have run the Bitdefender antivirus and Microsoft Windows Defender antivirus thinking this might be some sort of malicious program issue. But neither antivirus program said my computer was clean. Do you know what is causing this issue? Is it the Windows 10 most current update? Is it an issue with the most recent SC version? Can not tolerate this issue.....thanks for your help. |
