To solve the problem, you need to set Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service Setting >> Default Currency Code for stocks and SMART Exchange to USD. You do not have to go through the more complex symbol format, specifying the exchange and currency. Let us know if the above resolves the issue for you.
