Post From: Multiple instances, use "This instance" or "Remote Instance"

Hi,

I have a setup of "master sierrachart" that mainly just monitors instruments and then "detail sierracharts" that I use for trading ( this sierrachart uses much more cpu than the master one ).

I have been using the instruments on the "detail sierrachart" set to the ones in the "master sierrachart". ( so, the instruments have an "R" near them ).

I read this on the documentation:
The following instructions explain how to set a chart to reference the local chart data file instead of a remote chart data file from another remote copy of Sierra Chart. This information is here because some users may be using the no longer supported remote chart data file feature.

Is this method of using SierraChart unsupported ? I do this way because it allows me in the "detail sierrachart" to:

* It allows me on LMAX for example, to use the XXX instrument and trade on the XXXm instrument. ( and it still displays the market depth and other info of the XXX instrument ).
* Lots of times, when using the local instrument and not the remote one from "master sierrachart", the candles become different ( have to delete data from last day to make it sync and become equal ). Using the remote one instrument, they are always the same as in the "master sierrachart".
* Uses the same scid file, but this is minor ... disk space not a concern.

So... please advise, can I continue to use the Remote instruments, or is it much better technicly to swith to local instruments in all the sierrachart instances ?

Thanks !
